In May 2008, TIMCO established the Timberland Management Division in Poplarville, MS. This division was established by the joining of Joe Foster (President, TMD) and Brad Duncan. Joe and Brad came from Bennett & Peters in Baton Rouge, LA as they closed their MS operations. In April 2016, this division was separated into its own company. It now operates as an independent and autonomous organization called Timber Investment Managers.
Today, Timco participates in helping timberland owners in over 100,000 acres of reforestation on an annual basis. These ownerships range from a 40-acre family tree farm to multi-million-acre investment grade ownerships. With a staff of five Foresters, a Silvicultural Specialist, Operations Managers, and two technicians, Timco is able to provide services in herbicide applications (ground and aerial), tree planting, seedling sales and various other timberland management activities.
